Outdoor Fall Wedding at Nature Reserve | E & B
Alright y’all. Get ready for some backstory. Long before their marriage, I knew Brian and Emily as my coworkers at Target when I was a college student at UW Stevens Point. I remember the very start of their relationship. We would all spend our weeknight shifts goofing around while closing the store, and afterwards the whole crew would head down the street to Applebee’s for drinks and half-off appetizers. Our team was small, and very close. We all felt incredibly lucky to have each other, and years later when all of us had graduated and gone our separate ways, I was overjoyed to be brought back to Stevens Point once more for their wedding. I got to watch Emily share a beautiful first look with her father, laughed my way through a shot of Crown Royal with Brian and the groomsmen, and looked on with endless love and warmth in my heart as they shared their private vows. The nostalgia of being back in my college town was overwhelming but in the very best way, and their ceremony was held at Schmeekle, the University’s nature reserve. With their best people and beloved family at their side, they said their tearful “I do’s “ before sharing a private stroll through the park and up to the treehouse - the very same place where they had their first date. I was a blubbering mess behind the camera, although they claim they couldn’t tell.
As a little side note, I really got into the black and white images for this wedding. With how deeply the emotions were felt through these photos, it just felt right.
